Target long

If it were customary to name a bow by an adjective, it could be given the name “Balanced”. Its features are very similar to Pegasus, but even more so because there is no string support on it. Its balance stems from the fact that it is a relatively long yet fast bow, making it one of the best target shooting bows. What makes it special is that I built the first piece for myself as an experiment and it proved so successful that it got its own name. In my opinion, based on its parameters, it is the most suitable for target shooting. It is very fast, explosive, but not “punishing” as much as e.g. the Akkadian. It has as much vibration in it as in a metal mid-sized Olympic bow. Not so much with lead. In terms of its pull, it rivals the Assyrian: it can be pulled very long and comfortably, without a wall. I have built the best pieces of cherry and Indian apple wood.

There are two reasons for numbering. In part, it had to be distinguished from Vajk II, and on the other hand, the original Vajk was reworked as follows.

Experience shows that the structure had to be changed because it was considered a bit loud by customers. To eliminate this, I modified the siyahs and body so that the string put less strain on the siyahs.

For this bow, I specifically recommend the lead insert and the extra siyah design.

  • String length: 139 cm

  • Maximum pull length: 33″

  • Optimum brace height: 17-19 cm

Target short

Also from Target, in the model of Balances, but in response to the needs of the customers, two versions were born. It became necessary to have a bow that produces the performance of Target long, but is shorter.

This also includes the modifications of Target long It peforms exactly the same thing as its bigger brother, but its properties, due to its smaller string length, can be better utilized by archers with shorter draw lengths.
Despite the reduction in the size of the string, its stability and comfort remained. It has good target shooting properties, so it is excellent for taking part in competitions.

Like Balance short, I can recommend this from the age of 12-13, because I can make it from 18#, but it already represents a quality with which the child can use it at competitions.

For this bow, I specifically recommend the lead insert and one of the extra siyahs.
It was put in one menu item with Vajk I because, visually, it is the same as its bigger brother.
